CBP Border Patrol agents in the San Diego Sector stopped a car on northbound I-5 near San Clemente and found 36 packages containing 46.08 pounds of fentanyl in the trunk. The U.S. citizen driver, narcotics, and vehicle were taken to a Border Patrol station; Homeland Security Investigations assumed custody pending federal prosecution, and the vehicle was seized.
