BORDER SECURITY AT SEA: U.S. SOUTHCOM Sinks 4 Narco-Smuggling Boats Near Mexico—14 Killed In Trump-Ordered Strikes

U.S. forces under USSOUTHCOM carried out three presidentially directed strikes on four narco-smuggling vessels in the Eastern Pacific, killing 14 and leaving one survivor. Secretary Pete Hegseth released video of the operations, saying all strikes occurred in international waters with no U.S. casualties. Mexican Navy (SEMAR) took over search-and-rescue roughly 400 miles southeast of Acapulco. The action marks an expansion of a maritime campaign that has tallied 14 strikes and about 57 fatalities since early September.
