CBP officers at Brownsville’s Gateway International Bridge found 10.89 pounds of alleged methamphetamine hidden in a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee after a secondary inspection aided by non-intrusive imaging and a canine unit. The load, valued at $217,814, led to the vehicle’s seizure and the driver’s arrest, with HSI taking over the investigation. The bust is the latest in a string of high-value narcotics interdictions across Brownsville ports using the same detection methods.
