CBP BLACK HAWK HOISTS INJURED HIKER IN EL PASO MOUNTAINS; AMO LOGS MULTIPLE AUGUST RESCUES

CBP Air and Marine Operations’ El Paso UH-60 Black Hawk crew conducted a nighttime hoist rescue of an injured hiker in the Franklin Mountains on Aug. 21, extracting the patient and five COMSAR personnel from remote, high-altitude terrain and transferring the hiker to local EMS. This follows another AMO weekend mountain-rescue release earlier in August, suggesting a localized cluster of SAR missions in the El Paso/West Texas corridor.
