CBP: MAN DIES AFTER FALL FROM SAN DIEGO BORDER FENCE; OPR, OIG NOTIFIED

CBP reports a man died after falling from the secondary border fence near San Ysidro on March 31, 2025. A woman also fell and survived. Agents called EMS; CPR began at 11:22 p.m., and the man was pronounced dead at 11:34 p.m. The medical examiner ruled the death accidental due to multiple blunt force injuries. CBP’s Office of Professional Responsibility is reviewing the incident and notified the DHS Office of Inspector General.
