CBP Seizes 163 Exotic Animals At Anzalduas Bridge In Texas Border Bust

CBP officers at the Anzalduas International Bridge in Mission, Texas, found 163 reptiles, frogs, and spiders hidden in a truck headed to Mexico on Oct. 22. The haul spanned 30+ species, including royal pythons, albino milk snakes, bearded dragons, tarantulas, and savannah monitors. The driver was arrested; U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service took custody of the animals. CBP says exotic pet smuggling is rising locally and emphasized coordination with USFWS.
