CBP Seizes 530 KG Cocaine Aboard DR–PR Cargo Ship; HSI Takes Case

CBP officers in San Juan seized 530 kg (1,168 lbs) of cocaine during three interdictions aboard the M/V Lyktos arriving from Santo Domingo on Nov. 11. The drugs, hidden in modified chassis compartments and duffel bags within palletized cargo, carry an estimated street value over $10 million. The operation used a layered enforcement strategy with technology, K-9 teams, and officer expertise. Homeland Security Investigations took custody of the contraband for further investigation.
