CBP officers at the Laredo Port of Entry seized 76.63 pounds of alleged methamphetamine—valued at $704,654—after a canine and non-intrusive inspection at the Colombia-Solidarity Bridge. A 27-year-old Mexican citizen driving a 2008 Ford Expedition allegedly concealed 12 packages among personal belongings. CBP seized the vehicle and narcotics; HSI arrested the driver and opened a criminal investigation. The bust adds to a recent cluster of large seizures at South Texas ports using similar secondary inspection tactics.
