CBP SEIZES 82 LBS OF METH AT DEL RIO BRIDGE—THIRD BIG SOUTH TEXAS BUST IN 2 WEEKS

CBP officers at the Del Rio Port of Entry found 81.70 pounds of methamphetamine—valued at $730,378—hidden in stone benches inside a pickup during secondary inspection using canines and non-intrusive imaging. The driver, a 30-year-old Mexican citizen and U.S. resident, was arrested by Val Verde County deputies. This is the third major meth seizure reported at South Texas ports (Pharr, Laredo, Del Rio) in roughly two weeks.
