Del Rio CBP Flags Fugitive On NCIC Hit At Port Of Entry — Texas POE Arrest Cluster Grows

CBP officers at the Del Rio Port of Entry detained a man wanted in north Texas on felony warrants after referring him for secondary inspection at the Del Rio International Bridge on Aug. 21. Biometric verification identified the traveler as 31-year-old Victor Morales, who had outstanding warrants for aggravated sexual assault of a child from the White Settlement Police Department and a separate drug possession warrant from the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office. Morales was turned over to Del Rio Police Department officers for transport to jail and adjudication of the warrants. CBP credited officers’ vigilance and noted the National Crime Information Center aided verification, while reminding readers that criminal charges are allegations and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
