MIAMI POLL: 71% WANT SECURE BORDER, 78% BACK ICE ON VIOLENT CRIMINALS - BUT 59% REJECT BLANKET DEPORTATIONS AND POLICE ASSISTS

A Kaplan Strategies online poll of 518 Miami voters (Oct. 26–29; MOE ±4.3) finds strong support for border security (71%) and for ICE deporting violent criminals (78%), including 83% of Hispanics. But 59% oppose deporting otherwise law-abiding undocumented immigrants, and 59% oppose using local police to aid detentions/deportations. Half say current treatment has gone too far amid reports of aggressive ICE tactics; 37% say policy is just right or not strict enough.
