An immigration attorney warns a recent Supreme Court order easing limits on ICE stops could enable profiling, intensifying impacts when combined with SB53. The law also makes knowingly transporting an undocumented person into Alabama a felony, punishable by up to 10 years in prison. The bill’s sponsor was not available for comment.
