BREAKING: 2 Detainees Killed, Shooter Dead After Attack at Dallas ICE Facility; Police Search for Possible Sniper
Two ICE detainees were killed and one person was injured in a shooting at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Dallas on the morning of Sept. 24, 2025. Police responded just before 7 a.m. near 8101 North Stemmons Freeway and searched for a possible sniper or multiple shooters. Authorities later found one shooter dead on the roof of a nearby immigration attorneyâs office; officials said the shooter died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound and a motive has not been determined. Parts of I-35E were closed as a large police and emergency response secured the scene, and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed multiple injuries and fatalities.
