CBP AT HIDALGO PORT OF ENTRY NABS FUGITIVE ON CHILD-SEX WARRANT AFTER NCIC HIT

CBP officers at the Hidalgo International Bridge referred a pedestrian to secondary inspection on Nov. 24, where biometric/NCIC checks confirmed an outstanding felony warrant for sexual assault of a child. The U.S. citizen was transferred to Hidalgo County Sheriff’s deputies for adjudication. CBP emphasized routine use of NCIC at ports of entry; charges are allegations and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
