CBP-ICE 'Operation Charlotte's Web' Nets 400 Arrests In Charlotte; Half Had Criminal Records

Border Patrol and ICE conducted an interior enforcement surge in Charlotte dubbed "Operation Charlotte's Web," resulting in more than 400 arrests since Nov. 15. Officials say over half of collateral arrests involved non-targeted individuals with significant criminal histories, and highlighted arrests of MS-13 and 18th Street gang members. DHS framed the operation as targeting public-safety threats and addressing perceived sanctuary protections, with leaders signaling similar operations could continue in Charlotte and other cities.
