CBP’s Anti-Terrorism Contraband Enforcement Team at the Port of San Juan seized 365 pounds of cocaine hidden in a cargo container arriving from the Dominican Republic on Oct. 6. Officers found eight duffel bags containing 149 bricks that tested positive for cocaine, valued at over $4 million. The case aligns with a short-term cluster of recent CBP cocaine interdictions reported at other ports (Hidalgo and Pharr) within the past ~35 days, suggesting intensified screening of cargo and vehicle channels.
