CBP officers at Laredo’s World Trade Bridge referred a tractor-trailer carrying cement to secondary inspection on Sept. 16 and uncovered 25 packages totaling 368.2 lbs of suspected meth worth an estimated $3.39M. Officers used nonintrusive inspection and canine teams; CBP seized the load and HSI opened an investigation. The port director credited targeted screening and technology for the bust.
