CORECIVIC TO REOPEN OKLAHOMA PRISON AS ICE JAIL, ADDING 2,100 BEDS IN WATONGA
CoreCivic will reopen the long-shuttered Diamondback Correctional Facility in Watonga under a state contract to house ICE detainees, securing 2,100 detention beds in Oklahoma. The company plans $13 million in ICE-requested renovations and says the project will create about 400 jobs and generate roughly $760,000 in property taxes, with detainees expected early next year.
