Dulles CBP Seizes $111K In Unreported Cash; Global Entry Traveler Loses Status

CBP officers at Washington Dulles International Airport seized $111,225 in unreported currency during August, including $77,135 on Aug. 2, $14,300 on Aug. 14, and $19,790 on Aug. 21. One case involved a Global Entry trusted traveler departing to Lome, Togo, whose Global Entry status was revoked for an egregious violation. CBP reminded travelers that amounts of $10,000 or more must be reported via FINCEN Form 105, which can now be filed electronically, and warned that noncompliance can result in seizure, missed travel, or criminal prosecution.
