FEDS INDICT 2 SURGERY CENTER STAFF FOR BLOCKING ICE ARREST IN ONTARIO

A federal grand jury indicted two Ontario Advanced Surgery Center staffers, Jose de Jesus Ortega and Danielle Nadine Davila, on a felony count of assaulting, resisting and impeding ICE officers during a July arrest attempt inside the clinic. The confrontation, captured on viral video, shows staff shielding a Honduran man who fled into the facility; another ICE officer later assisted in completing the arrest. Both face up to eight years if convicted, with trial set for Oct. 6, amid a broader uptick of ICE activity at Southern California medical facilities.
