ICE ANGERS FLORIDA LAW ENFORCEMENT WITH 287(G) RECRUITMENT DRIVE

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has angered Florida sheriffs by attempting to recruit local deputies and police officers. ICE sent a letter to law enforcement across the state, seeking to enlist 287g certified officers into its ranks. This recruitment effort, which reportedly involved sending out at least 10,000 emails nationwide, has been met with strong disapproval from multiple sheriffs in Florida.
