Doris Matsui was denied access to Sacramento ICE holding areas for a second time while conducting congressional oversight after reports of people being kept overnight with limited water, restroom access, ventilation, and unclear bedding. Local officials say an ICE official acknowledged two people were held overnight and flown to Seattle that morning. The alleged conditions may violate the 2025 National Detention Standards.
