ICE Raid In Bryan, Texas: 6 Detained As Agents Capture Repeat-Entry Spousal Abuser

ICE arrested 43-year-old Mario Bernal-Diaz in Bryan, Texas, whom DHS says is a documented spousal abuser with six prior unlawful entries and past convictions. An immigration judge issued a final removal order in 2009 and his last removal was in 2016. In the same operation, five additional people at a Bryan worksite were detained on ICE holds and booked into the Montgomery Processing Center in Conroe. DHS framed the action as part of a focus on arresting noncitizens with criminal charges or convictions; local police were not involved.
