ICE Raids Glass House Farms: Cal State Professor Indicted After Violent July 10 Operation That Netted 350+ Arrests, 14 Children Rescued

Jonathan Caravello, a 37-year-old Cal State Channel Islands math professor, was indicted for allegedly throwing a tear gas canister at federal agents during the July 10 ICE raid at Glass House Farms in Camarillo. The operation, which detained more than 350 undocumented workers amid clashes with roughly 500 protesters, included the reported rescue of 14 children from possible forced labor. Caravello is free on $15,000 bond and awaits arraignment in Los Angeles federal court. The raid is part of a larger pattern of intensified ICE enforcement at Southern California cannabis farms.
