ICE Recruits Coast Guard Planes For Mass Transfers: 263 Flights Since June Centered On Alexandria And Harlingen

Rolling Stone reports, corroborated by flight-data trackers and on-the-ground video, that U.S. Coast Guard C-27J and C-130 aircraft have been increasingly used at ICE’s request to shuttle detainees among hubs in Alexandria, LA; Harlingen, TX; and the Everglades camp. Since late June 2025, at least 263 C-27 flights and additional C-130 missions likely served ICE transfers, with reporters observing shackled detainees boarding in Baltimore. Advocates warn the mission shift diverts USCG assets and heightens concerns over secrecy and detainee treatment.
