ICE Touts 210,000 Arrests; DHS Targets Sanctuary Cities, Cites 1000% Spike In Attacks On Agents

ICE and DHS say they’ve made over 417,000 arrests since January, including more than 210,000 by ICE, with officials highlighting multi-state operations and recent arrests of individuals convicted of violent crimes in TX, SC, PA, NJ and NY. DHS officials, including Kristi Noem and Tom Homan, blame sanctuary policies for risks to officers and cite a claimed 1000% surge in assaults on ICE personnel. The administration also signals recruitment and detention expansion alongside plans to surge agents into sanctuary cities.
