MAINE DRIVER TRIES TO RUN OVER BORDER PATROL AGENT — DHS SAYS INCIDENT PART OF NATIONAL ASSAULT SURGE

DHS confirmed the arrest of 24-year-old Olivia G. Wilkins after she allegedly attempted to drive her vehicle at Border Patrol agents escorting two noncitizens in Maine. Wilkins faces multiple charges after crashing while fleeing. DHS linked the event to an accelerating, multi‑state surge in assaults and threats against ICE and CBP personnel and cited recent related incidents including bomb threats, doxxing, and attacks in several states.
