Nebraska ICE Detention Site Starts Intake: Up To 200 Detainees In Two Weeks, Gov. Pillen Says

Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen says the newly converted ICE detention facility in McCook will begin receiving detainees this week. Phase one will intake up to 200 detainees over the next two weeks, with a second phase completed by year’s end. The state’s ICE contract is projected to generate about $14 million annually through 2027, while cost approvals and a related lawsuit remain in play.
