Operation Liberty: SoCal Volunteers Deploy Vans To Film ICE Raids In Real Time

Immigrant-rights groups in Los Angeles launched Operation Liberty to document ICE operations as they happen, starting Saturday at MacArthur Park. Organizers equipped three vans with camera gear, funded by small-dollar donations they say came from more than 100,000 contributors, and are recruiting trained volunteers, lawyers, chaplains and veterans. They emphasize monitoring will be orderly, peaceful and lawful while coordinating with rapid-response networks across Southern California.
