U.S. MARSHALS NAB DEPORTED MURDER SUSPECT IN TEXAS AFTER ILLEGAL REENTRY; ICE FILES DETAINER

U.S. Marshals arrested Mexican national Hernan Perez Juarez, previously deported in 2018, in Temple, Texas, for a 2020 bathtub murder in Georgetown. Authorities say he illegally reentered the U.S.; his vehicle was found abandoned near Laredo by the Mexico border. A 2022 arrest warrant had stalled due to his unknown whereabouts. ICE lodged an immigration detainer as he awaits proceedings in Williamson County.
