U.S. MARSHALS ARREST CAPE HATTERAS POACHER, TRANSFER TO ICE ON PRIOR REMOVAL ORDER

Federal authorities say Walter Betancourth, 46, a Honduran national, was arrested by U.S. Marshals after Cape Hatteras National Seashore rangers reported a red drum poaching incident on June 15. Rangers allege 16 fish were illegally taken. Marshals transferred Betancourth to ICE custody; court records show he had a final removal order issued in April 2022.
