UTAH NATIONAL GUARD ASKED TO SUPPORT ICE UNDER TITLE 32 AS ~20 GOP STATES MOBILIZE GUARD FOR IMMIGRATION OPERATIONS

Utah National Guard officials sent a call for volunteers to provide administrative, logistical and transportation support to a planned ICE operation this fall under a Title 32 authorization. The governor’s office says troops would not make arrests; the mission window is expected from mid‑September through Nov. 15. The move is part of a broader, multi‑state mobilization in which roughly 20 Republican‑led states have authorized Guard support to assist ICE with non‑law‑enforcement tasks.
