Council Of Europe Register Opens Claims For Forced Deportations Of Ukrainian Children, Adults

The Council of Europe’s Register of Damage for Ukraine launched new claims categories (A2.8/A2.9) to document forcible transfers and deportations of Ukrainians—children and adults—since 24 Feb 2022. One claim per affected person can be filed with evidence via Ukraine’s Diia portal; parents or guardians may submit for minors. The move expands formal documentation channels to support future reparations and accountability efforts.
