Frenzied Stabbing At Dublin Asylum Care Unit: Teen Dead, Gardaí Open Homicide Inquiry

A 17-year-old Ukrainian, Vadym Davydenko, was fatally stabbed inside a Tusla-run residential unit in Donaghmede that houses international protection applicants. Gardaí described a chaotic scene and have launched a full homicide inquiry, with a chief suspect believed to be another resident, also a foreign national. Tusla confirmed the unit provides 24-hour care and said additional supports are in place for residents and staff.
