HERAT HORROR: BUS CARRYING AFGHANS EXPELLED FROM IRAN CRASHES, 79 DEAD

An overcrowded bus carrying Afghans expelled from Iran crashed on the Herat-Kabul highway in western Afghanistan after colliding with a motorcycle and a truck late on Tuesday. The bus caught fire, killing at least 79 people, including 17 children. Officials say Herat province is hosting tens of thousands of recent deportees from Iran, straining local resources and contributing to unsafe travel conditions.
