Imam ‘Marriage Counselling’ for Underage Girls, Polygamy Spreading in Berlin Amid Islamist Immigration, Says Integration Officer

A Berlin integration officer, Güner Balci, claims that multicultural neighborhoods in Berlin are experiencing an increase in Islamic imams providing marriage counseling to underage girls and accepting polygamy, following a large influx of Palestinian and other Muslim migrants. Balci, who moved out of her childhood neighborhood due to growing Islamism, noted the significant rise in mosques, many of which preach hardline Islam. She stated that the "culturally and religiously determined gender separation" in areas like Neukölln began with Palestinian immigration in the 1980s. Concerns are also raised about government complicity, with a radical Shiite mosque reportedly building a state-funded daycare center. This situation reflects a broader concern across Europe regarding the assimilation of Muslim migrant communities and the infiltration efforts of groups like the Muslim Brotherhood to promote strict Islamic practices and undermine democracy.
