IRISH TD ALLEGES: €10.2M IPAS ASYLUM CONTRACTOR OWNER NAMED IN CAB DROGHEDA FEUD AFFIDAVIT

Sinn Féin TD Joanna Byrne told the Dáil that Secure Accommodation Management has received about €10.2m since September 2022 and alleged the company is owned by a man referenced in Criminal Assets Bureau material related to the Drogheda gang feud. She called it alarming that anyone named by CAB could benefit from public asylum-accommodation contracts and cited a recent arson attack at a Drogheda IPAS site to raise safety concerns. Minister of State Jack Chambers said he would seek a response from the Justice Minister and department. Media reports note the individual denies criminal involvement, says any CAB mention is untested, and that he is no longer a director; Byrne demanded greater oversight of IPAS contracting.
