British police arrested five people after masked demonstrators attempted to force entry into a Crowne Plaza hotel near Heathrow used to house asylum-seekers; two officers suffered minor injuries. In a separate incident, three men were arrested outside another hotel in Epping. The clashes followed a government court ruling to keep asylum-seekers in a different hotel, stoking local anger. Around 32,000 migrants were housed in roughly 200 hotels at the end of June, highlighting pressure on accommodation.
