Mexico Plans To Raise Immigration Fees For Visas, Residency, And Work Permits — Not Law Yet
Mexican legislators introduced a proposal to significantly increase government fees for immigration procedures, including temporary and permanent residence permits and work authorizations. The measure is not yet law and would only take effect after full legislative approval and publication in the Diario Oficial de la Federación. If enacted, employers and individuals could face higher costs and may consider timing filings under the current fee schedule.
