NEW AGE REQUIREMENTS: ICE DROPS AGE LIMIT TO BOOST AGENT FORCE

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has removed its age cap for applicants to become deportation agents, now allowing individuals over 18, including seniors, to apply. This move is part of the Trump administration's aggressive recruitment drive to hire up to 10,000 new deportation agents and support staff. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced the change, emphasizing the need for more personnel to bolster immigration enforcement efforts nationwide. The agency is backed by nearly $30 billion in new congressional funding for enforcement and removal. Despite historical challenges in recruiting federal law enforcement, ICE reports an overwhelming response, with 80,000 applications already received.
