ICE Shoots U.S. Citizen In Ontario After Bus-Stop Warning, Lawyers Say — Second S. Cal Shooting In 9 Days

A Los Angeles Times report says ICE shot U.S. citizen Carlos Jimenez in Ontario after he approached agents to warn that schoolchildren would soon gather nearby. Lawyers say he reversed in fear and was shot from behind; federal officials counter he reversed toward officers and the shots were defensive. It’s the second ICE-involved shooting in Southern California in about a week, adding to a cluster of recent use-of-force incidents drawing scrutiny and federal review.
