DOJ FEDERALIZES CHARLOTTE TRAIN MURDER OF UKRAINIAN REFUGEE; BONDI VOWS MAX PENALTY

The DOJ has taken over prosecution of the Charlotte light-rail stabbing that killed 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska. Attorney General Pam Bondi said federal prosecutors will seek the maximum penalty against suspect DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat offender. The victim’s family chose to bury her in the U.S., and federal agencies including the FBI are engaged in the case.
