ICE Arrests Des Moines Superintendent; Iowa Yanks License Over Final Removal Order

Iowa’s Board of Educational Examiners revoked Des Moines Superintendent Ian Roberts’ administrator license after his Sept. 26 ICE arrest and a May 2024 final order of removal. The district placed him on paid leave Sept. 27; the revocation letter, dated Sept. 28, says he can appeal by Oct. 28.
