IRISH HIGH COURT ORDERS LISSYWOLLEN ASYLUM SITE EMPTIED; 32 RESIDENTS TO BE RELOCATED BY NOV 7

Ireland’s High Court directed the State to move the remaining 32 residents out of the Lissywollen IPAS accommodation by November 7, effectively emptying the tented site. The State previously conceded the site breached planning rules and has not produced promised legislation to allow continued use. Councillors say they will seek full closure and reinstatement of the site at a future hearing.
