Jury Convicts Journalist For Failure To Disperse At ICE Protest On Roebling Bridge

Lucas Griffith, a 21-year-old CityBeat photo intern and UC journalism student, was convicted of misdemeanor failure to disperse after covering a July 17 ICE protest on Cincinnati’s Roebling Bridge and fined $50. Other charges were dismissed or acquitted. The protest demanded the release of Egyptian immigrant Ayman Soliman, who was later freed after his deportation case was dropped.
