NYC To Close Last Migrant Hotel As Arrivals Fall; 3,400 Face Uncertain Relocation

New York City will wind down operations at the Row, its last large migrant hotel shelter, over the next eight months as arrivals decline and the emergency program sunsets. Officials say 200,000+ migrants have exited the shelter system and 64 emergency sites have been closed, with 111,000 asylum applications processed and roughly 65,000 travel tickets issued. About 3,400 people remain at the Row, and the city has not detailed a comprehensive relocation plan if the site fully closes by April 2026.
