TRUMP DOJ OUSTS SEATTLE IMMIGRATION JUDGE; 80+ BENCHED AS DEPORTATION DRIVE FACES 3.8M-CASE BACKLOG
The Trump administration fired Seattle immigration judge Susana Reyes during her probationary period, part of a nationwide wave that has removed more than 80 immigration judges. Seattle’s court now has seven judges handling over 50,000 pending cases, while fewer than 600 judges nationwide face roughly 3.8 million cases.
